FNS5022 Diploma of Accounting with Tax electives is the latest qualification, and is designed for those with accounting experience who are looking to become a qualified accounting professional and registered tax agent. This course is approved by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) and meets the education requirements for Tax Agent Registration.

Complete just 10 units to achieve FNS5022 Diploma of Accounting, which includes tax electives that are TPB-approved for Tax Agent registration.

Payment Plans

We understand not everyone has the financial resources upfront to invest in training, so we offer payment plans to get you moving faster towards your future. The Diploma of Accounting is eligible for a 6-month or 12-month payment plan.

• An administration fee, $100 for 6-month plan or $150 for 12-month plan, is added for this option
• A $250 deposit is processed at the commencement of course
• Remainder is paid over 6 or 12 equal monthly instalments
• All you need is a valid credit card

When you enrol in this course you can choose 1 FREE Fundamental Bundle and you will receive 12-months Student Membership with Tax and Super Australia at no additional cost.

You will have a total of 18 months to complete this course, with a nominal 1550 course hours, however you can complete the course as fast as you would like as there is no minimum time frame.

For the Diploma of Accounting with Tax electives, textbooks are required to purchased separately from the publisher. Applied Education students receive a discount when ordering through our supplier, full details are provided with enrolment. Total cost for these textbooks is approximately $800 for paperback editions, or $500 for digital editions.

Pre-course

Before starting this course, you may be required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills assessment to ensure we can support you before your studies commence.

Introductory Requirements & Units

The Introductory Requirements include a Communication Skills Assessment and a Work Health and Safety Assessment.

The Unit assessments and examinations are completed using a variety of methods and are submitted online via our student portal. They are conducted open book from either your home or office, and comprise theoretical and practical exercises.

Accounting unit assessments use MYOB Student version or Xero (both supplied).

Exams

Tax Practitioners Board Licensing Course units include an exam component, which needs to be independently supervised. Exams are three-hour, open-book assessments comprising of short answer and multiple choice questions, very similar in format to the unit assessments.

Exams must be completed within your course duration period. Prior to your exam, you will need to complete and return the Supervisor Nomination Form to Applied Education detailing your supervisor's information, contact details and the elected date of your assessment.

Exams can be undertaken at any location and time of your choosing, with the only condition being that you have a nominated, independent supervisor present. Your supervisor can be a person of responsibility such as a registered tax agent, member of an accounting professional body, public servant, doctor, nurse, police officer, director etc. who does not have a close personal or professional relationship with you.
