SHORT COURSES
including computer software, payroll and taxation
(courses other than nationally recognised training courses)
Please carefully evaluate your chosen course. If you have not already done so, we recommend you download and read the relevant course guide.
Applied Education requires payment within 10 working days of your booking or alternatively a purchase order number from your company may be supplied. We accept payment by direct deposit, Visa and MasterCard.
We require full prepayment or a purchase order before the course commences. Should we not receive payment before the course commences your place will not be confirmed.
For Online courses, full payment is required before access can be given to the course.
REFUND POLICY
Classroom Short Courses
If you have selected Classroom Learning and cannot attend your course, please notify our reception team via email to reception@appliededucation.edu.au
If you provide us more than 48 hours' notice prior to the course start, a full refund will be granted less a $50 administration fee or you are able to transfer to another course date.
If you provide us with less than 48 hours' notice prior to the course start, you can then opt to either, have us hold your account in credit for 12 months so you can attend at a later date or transfer your booking to another attendee. No refund is available.
Cancellation by Applied Education
In the event of insufficient numbers Applied Education reserves the right to cancel, in its sole discretion, any particular course. In the event a specific course is cancelled, participants will be contacted by us to arrange a transfer to an alternative course date. Alternatively, a full Refund of the course cost is available upon request. Applied Education assumes no responsibility for non-refundable airline-tickets, accommodation, deposits, or any other expenses incurred due to course cancellations.
Online Short Courses
You have 24 hours from the date of enrolment to apply for a refund, if you have not commenced your course and believe it is not appropriate for you.
SUPPORT
For short online courses, we do not offer access to Trainers.
We provide technical support when getting started on our student platform and study groups for your learning journey.
LEARNING MATERIAL
Electronic (non-printable and non-editable) manuals are included as part of the course at no additional cost. All course content is accessed via our online student portal. Hard copies manuals can be purchased at additional cost when you enrol.
Our learning material for all short courses is packed full of high quality content, step-by-step instructions with visuals and plenty of practice exercises offering exceptional value to the participant. Content is regularly updated with latest rates, rulings and legislation. However, accounting software updates by Xero and MYOB may not reflected immediately in course material.
EXTENSION
All online courses come with 12 months access to online material. We offer a one-off extension for 3 months at an additional cost.
FREE TRIAL COURSES
Where we provide you with access to our free trial courses, based on the terms specified at the time, your support and access to resources may be restricted. The purpose of the free trial is to enable you to experience some of the courseware and learning activities you may undertake.
Free trial students do not have access to some services such as;
- Ticket Support
- Telephone support
- Student Facebook Group
- Hard copy manuals are not available
NATIONALLY RECOGNISED TRAINING COURSES
As a Registered Training Organisation (ID 52240), we comply with the government's strict quality and consistency standards. We conduct regular audits to ensure we keep this accreditation and deliver the level of training you deserve.
Please take the time to read through our Student Handbook applicable for our Nationally Accredited Training and Assessment in accordance with the requirements of the AQTF Standards. Please read the documents prior to enrolling in a Nationally Recognised Training course.
Privacy Notice
Under the Data Provision Requirements 2012, Applied Education is required to collect personal information about you and to disclose that personal information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).
Your personal information (including the personal information contained on this enrolment form and your training activity data) may be used or disclosed by Applied Education for statistical, regulatory and research purposes. Applied Education may disclose your personal information for these purposes to third parties, including:
- School – if you are a secondary student undertaking VET, including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship;
- Employer – if you are enrolled in training paid by your employer;
- Commonwealth and State or Territory government departments and authorised agencies;
- NCVER;
- Organisations conducting student surveys; and
- Researchers.
Personal information disclosed to NCVER may be used or disclosed for the following purposes:
- Issuing statements of attainment or qualification, and populating authenticated VET transcripts;
- facilitating statistics and research relating to education, including surveys;
- understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information; and
- administering VET, including programme administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation.
You may receive an NCVER student survey which may be administered by an NCVER employee, agent or third party contractor. Please note you may opt out of the survey at the time of being contacted.
NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER’s website at www.ncver.edu.au).
