There are no formal assessment for this course. Please note as it is not a nationally recognised course you do not need to complete any prerequisites or exams. 

You will have 12 months' access to the course. There is no minimum time frame, students familiar with bookkeeping and accounting concepts may complete the course much faster.

Microsoft Windows is the preferred operating system for the study of this course as all student data files are supplied in Windows format.

You will also need word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software such as Microsoft Office or Google Apps.

Internet access – reliable internet connection (such as ADSL) required. All data files, learning activities and MYOB software are available to download via our student portal.

Mac Users:
Applied Education uses the Microsoft Windows operating system and we are unable to support issues relating to a Mac computer.

If you only have access to a Mac computer then you need to either purchase and install on your mac a windows emulator such as "parallels" to run windows on a Mac at your own cost, or if you have a Windows OS software licence use the free inbuilt Mac Boot Camp assistant on your Mac Computer.

For the Microsoft Word and Excel components, students will need to supply this software. 

For Google Apps and Google sheets, you are required to setup a free account with Google. 

MYOB Student edition is supplied for the MYOB courses. 

Xero access instructions are also supplied to the Xero Demo company.

Students are given access to our premium Facebook Bookkeeping and Accounting Support Group. Support for this course is given for initial setup and access instructions to student portal and associated programs. Detailed support on the relevant topics is not provided by Applied Education for this short course. If you would like comprehensive support including access to our ticket support, please consider our FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.

Digital (non-printable and non-editable) course training manuals for the Introductory Accounting and Bookkeeping are included as part of the course at no additional cost.

The course content is accessed via our online student portal, with additional resources and video tutorials also available.

At present hard copy manuals are not available to purchase.

  • All you need is a valid credit or debit card
  • Pay first weekly instalment at commencement of course
