From 30 June 2016 businesses need to ensure they and/or their clients are SuperStream compliant.
SuperStream is a standard for electronically processing superannuation information and payments, and must be used by employers, self-managed super funds and APRA-regulated funds.
The ATO has announced it will provide compliance flexibility to small businesses that are not yet SuperStream ready, extending the deadline until 28 October 2016.
Small businesses can, of course, use the Small Business Super Clearing House (19 or fewer employees, aggregated turnover less than $2 million). Register here
Many software providers also offer excellent Super clearing house options to automate and save time, so make sure you investigate them as well.
