The key steps in the process are:
- Determine your representative status
- Review the required qualification and relevant experience
- Determine if a board approved course for tax (financial) advisers is required to be completed –Â Applied Education’s unit and course guide can be found here
- Ensure you have suitable PI insurance
- Ensure sufficient suitable professional development education
- Check if you meet the fit and proper person requirements

An invitation to renew a registration will be sent about 60 days before the current registration
expires using the latest contact details on record with the TPB.
